Pirate Day at Gym

Today was dress-up day at Gymnastics. We dressed up as pirates!

Hooray, mum went to Savers today!

Danny got these tools. He looks very proud doesn't he!

I got this gorgeous brush and comb set. We decided that it was probably made in the sixties but it was still in it's original packaging, unopened. What a find!

Danny's New Paints

Danny loves to paint, so Patrick and I gave him some new paints and brushes for his birthday.


We got red, orange, blue, and lilac. This morning we decided to try them out.



Here I am in my pinny watching our paintings dry.

Here are some of the finished pieces. The very orange one is Dan Dan's. The red butterfly is Paddy's and the two butterflies are mine.

Danny had a LOVELY time but he wouldn't let anybody else use the orange!

Patick was layering all the different colours on top of eachother. Here I am giving him a bit of guidance!

I painted Port Phillip Bay and the Yarra.

It was lots of fun!!

saturday lunch

Today we had friends for lunch.


Dad cooked a beautiful pasta with italian sausage and artichokes.

Here we all are serving up.

After lunch we made a cubby house in the back yard with some old branches.

Danny and Amby played in some buckets of bath water that we use to water the garden.

Our vegie garden

Recently I have been working with dad in the vegie garden. We planted these little flower seeds about two weeks ago. They are petunias and poppies.


Look how much they've grown in just a couple of weeks!



Here's the little rosemary bush that we planted.



These hyacinths are past their prime but they're still very pretty!

As is this pretty purple flower. I don't know what it is. Dad planted some lobelia in an old bird cage. I can't wait 'till it starts to flower.

And here's some rosemary we cut to use in the kitchen.

Mmmm..., I think I can feel a lamb roast coming on!

Let's go out for dinner!

After a long day at school, there is nothing I like better than to dine at my favourite restaurant.

Home-made spaghetti with fresh napoli sauce. Mmmmmm...... smells good!

Tastes even better.

I love the old milk trays that they have used at light fittings!

And to finish off, a cranberry juice mocktail - very 'sex in the city'!

Still time to do a quick re-style. Sparkly princess curtains and a lovely sparkly throw. I found these lovely pieces in a skip down the road. dad washed them so they're lovely and clean.

Look at Danny, ready to take me to school. You know, this coat is a family heirloom. First it was mine, then Paddy's, and now it's Dan's! I love the reindeer design on it, don't you?

Introducing my Brothers - properly!!

I know you've met my brothers, but I just wanted to introduce them to you offically.


This is Daniel. He just turned two (as you know) and he's really cute. He looks alot like I did at the same age. At the moment he's really into cars, trucks and trains. He also really likes to draw.

And this is Patrick. He'll be five in October. Paddy LOVES playstation and computer games. Ben 10 is his favourite at the moment but he also likes Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

I'm a very lucky sister to have two such good friends!

A new Hairdo!

This morning before school I got mum to put my hair in little bunches just like Princess Leia!

Danny had a turn of my red school hairband.

Here I am sitting in front of the blue sparkly princess curtains that I made for above my bed.

While I was at school mum took the boys in to the Village. The lucky things got a ride on the little post truck outside the post office.

Meet our girls

Sorry it's such a bad picture but I really wanted to introduce you to our girls. They haven't got names but we love them just the same.

It's my job to feed them and change their water. I also collect the eggs.

A double birthday bash!

Here I am at my cousin Elena's ninth birthday party. That's her behind me sitting on my Grandma Susan's knee. My other cousin Lucy is next to me.

It was my brother Danny's birthday as well. Here we are getting ready to blow out the candles.

Hooray for Danny!! I don't think he minded that his car cake was pink after all!!!

Making Birthday Cakes!

Today my baby brother Daniel turned two!
My brother Patrick (who is four and a half) and I decided to make Daniel a cake. He said he wanted a blue car cake and a red car cake. I was in charge of the red car and Paddy did the blue car. We used smarties for the head lights

We used licorice to make a road and sprinkles for grass.

My car ended up pink because I couldn't get the icing to go red. I don't think Daniel minded.
